Because think of all the potential for awesome and hilarity:
- Mako and Bolin adjusting to Air Temple customs
- Awkward family dinners with Tenzin and the family
- AIRKID-FERRET BROTHER INTERACTION all I want from life basically
- Jinora and Ikki pestering Mako about Korra
- And Korra dying from embarrassment in the corner
- And the kids trying to get Bolin to be their horsey, like in the Studio Mir art
- And MEELO OMG. Can you imagine how amazing a scene with Mako, Bolin, and Meelo might be?
- We don’t know too much about Pema but I could see her fussing over Mako and Bolin a la Mrs. Weasley
- And Tenzin setting “house rules” down for Korra and the boys
- Which Korra will not follow
- And the kids trying to get the brothers to play airball with them
- And just generally overwhelming them with their wild child tendencies
- And if Mako and Asami are broken up, Ikki and Jinora following Mako and Korra around and thinking they’re being sneaky, but their giggling gives them away
- And babysitting
- And if Pema going into labor isn’t played for drama, there’s all sorts of potential for humor in a birth scene on the island
- Oh, and Pema and Mako exchanging motherhood stories
- And Bolin and the kids getting embarrassed at them
- And Pabu and the lemurs interacting
- The brothers and the lemurs interacting
- Do you see why I want this?
- I will be so sad if this doesn’t happen eventually
And it’s convenient from a writing perspective to have all the Krew living in one place.
There just aren’t as many whacky hijinks to be had when the brothers live with the Satos. They can have some fun with Mako and Bolin experiencing the high life (as they already are judging from the clip), but you cannot compare that to the greatness that is the brothers and the cloudbabies living in the temple together. I can see the brothers’ relocation to the mansion being useful for plot purposes for a couple of episodes, tops, but especially if Hiroshi and/or Asami are Equalists, I can’t see them living there for long. Mostly because the injustice of them not living on the Island has to be corrected.
#it really upsets me when people say they dislike captain america because he’s boring #like maybe he’s not as snarky as tony #or as badass as natasha and clint #sure he’s not as adorable as thor #but captain america is far from boring #he’s such a perfectly devised character it actually causes me pain #because he really is just a kid #just a kid that was forced to become a hero #and he took that role gladly because he wanted so desperately to help people #his weapon of choice is a shield for crying out loud! #he doesn’t want to hurt people #he’s not out for revenge or anything like that #he just wants to protect people #to save them
AND folks (even the other Avengers) tend to act like since he was frozen for all those years he’s somehow old, but he isn’t - Steve didn’t grow up mentally, either, in all the time he was on ice. He’s an idealist who believes in his purpose and his country with all the passion and singlemindedness of youth - he’s only now realizing that things aren’t black and white, and he’s angry, because he can’t believe that right away.
I love Steve. I can joke about his being a Boy Scout, but he’s just a fantastic character, he has so much heart and at the end of the day he does his best to make everyone whole - his teammates, his country, himself. He searches for the good in people and tries his best to keep things together. He’s a leader, and the fact that he can be that beyond all his own anger, his own insane amount of loss, is incredible to me.
Civil War didn’t only break my heart for Tony-related reasons, after all.
